In October of 2002, just after the release of the Gorge Conceptual Plan, Spokane’s CityCable 5 produced a 15-minute show on the project, including its background, and key projects and opportunities. Nicely-shot images of the Lower Falls and Gorge area, plus interviews with then City Planner Steve Franks, Spokane Tribe Culture Director Bryan Flett, and Rick Hastings of Friends of the Falls. Friends of the Falls is a non-profit organization working to protect and improve access to the historic Spokane Falls and river gorge. Primary activities include leading implementation of projects identified in the community-based Strategic Master Plan developed for the area.
