In 2006, Spokane’s Spokesman-Review produced an important series of articles and video shorts about the Spokane River. Led by Editor Rebecca Nappi and videojournalist Colin Mulvaney, individuals passionate about the river were interviewed and videotaped, sharing stories from multiple viewpoints. Prepared and submitted to Friends of the Falls in March, 2006 by consultant Gary Lacy of Recreation Engineering and Planning with engineering consultant David Evans, Associates (DEA) of Spokane.
